Information for parents

Choosing an AI programming programme for a teenager

Trust in education comes from clear conditions and visible progress. At Skills AI, a learner should do more than obtain an AI answer: they need to explain the task, check the solution and demonstrate their own contribution.

Ask to see the process

A useful outcome is more than an attractive screen. A learner should explain who the project serves, which actions work and what they have checked. A task plan and version history help reveal their contribution and the questions discussed with the mentor.

  • Describes the problem in their own words.
  • Distinguishes an AI suggestion from a verified fact.
  • Demonstrates a working scenario and identifies limitations.

The teacher’s role

The teacher explains principles, helps check code and provides feedback. The core format has up to four participants and six two-hour meetings. Dzmitry Arlou’s biography reports 15+ years in IT; the homepage links to his certificate for independent checking.

A safer learning environment

Practice projects use fictional data rather than home addresses, passwords or private conversations. Service access and age requirements should be checked before creating accounts. Paid subscriptions and publishing a project should be discussed with parents in advance.

Agree on the details before joining

Ask about language, age, schedule, equipment, euro pricing and feedback. Six sessions provide a foundation for practice, not a guarantee of a career or income. Enrolment remains closed; payment terms and documents will be available before it opens.

Common questions

Is this suitable for every age?

No. Age and readiness for independent work matter. The original Grodno core offer stated 14+, but conditions for each Bulgarian group will be published separately.

Should I buy Cursor or a computer first?

Agree on equipment requirements and tool access first. Do not purchase a subscription just because a tool is mentioned in an article.
